Below is the fully optimised step-by-step guide for installing Hexleds Hexagon Lights, ensuring maximum performance, safety, and durability.
Step 1 Assemble Your Hexagon Light Layout on the Floor
Before mounting anything, fully assemble your hexagon LED light structure on the floor. This gives you a clear visual of your final design and ensures all tubes and connectors fit properly.
If your Hexleds kit includes a border frame, build this first.
If not, skip to Step 3.

Use the longer LED tubes with straight connectors and 90-degree connectors to form the border.

Make sure each lighting tube is inserted fully into its connector for a secure electrical connection.
Step 2 Add Power to the Border Using the Power Cable
Locate the corner where your power cable will connect.
To ensure even illumination and stable performance, you must attach power cables at all circled locations shown in your kit’s diagram. These multiple power feeds evenly distribute electricity across the border and prevent dimming or power drop-off in large hexagon lighting setups.
Step 3 Build the Hexagon Columns for Your Lighting Pattern
Next, assemble the individual hexagon shapes by connecting lighting tubes with the elbow and Y-connectors.
Build each hexagon into vertical or horizontal columns depending on your desired design. You can create:

Place a Y-connector with the power cable at each corner where the power cable will plug in to energise the central lighting grid.

Just like the border, all circled diagram locations must receive power cables to keep the entire hexagon LED lighting grid evenly powered and bright.
Step 5 - Test Your Hexagon Lights Before Ceiling Installation
Before mounting anything overhead, plug in your lighting design and test the full system:
